Active Listener Meeting in Périgueux
All the Active Listeners were invited to a 'Getting to know you' session on 12th January at the Ibis Centre Hotel in Périgueux.
This was an initial team meeting of the new CSF Dordogne Active Listeners. There were 8 of us present (out of a total of 14) and the session allowed each AL to introduce herself to the team.
We learnt about each other's reasons for wanting to become an AL and our pathways to arriving as a team member with CSF Dordogne.
During the session we explored the benefits and difficulties of being an AL, which led us onto some interesting discussion about our interactions with clients (keeping absolute confidentiality of course) and acted as a source of information , shared learning and support for this complex and often challenging role.
